All rooms in my house are very nice but most of all I love my room. I use it both as a bedroom and a study. It is a perfect place for my studies and rest. It is cosy and light. Although my room is the smallest one, it has some advantages.

First of all, it is my own room and I am happy that I don’t share it with anyone. My room is the most distant one in our apartment, so I always admire the peace and quietness here. Being alone in this room for some time, gives me a chance to clear my head and collect my thoughts.

The window of my room faces the kindergarten which I used to attend in my childhood. I enjoy looking out of my window in sunny weather and watching beautiful sunsets in the evenings. The walls in my room are green, so they give me the illusion of sitting somewhere outside, alone with nature. The color of curtains matches the wallpapers perfectly. Besides I have some green plants on the windowsill. There are photos of my family and friends and posters with my favourite music bands and sportsmen on the walls. I think they make my room special.

There isn’t much furniture in my room but I have everything I need. The wooden floor is covered with thick beige rug in the middle of the room. There is a writing table with a computer, a printer and a lamp on it. I keep my notebooks, pens and pencils and other necessary things in its drawers. The room is also furnished with a built-in wardrobe to keep my clothes in and a bookcase for my textbooks, favourite books and CDs. My comfortable sofa-bed is just to the left of the window. I like sitting in it, drinking hot tea and reading some interesting book or listening to music. There is a beige lamp on the ceiling but I don’t use it often. I prefer the lamp on the table and a floor-lamp near my bed.

The atmosphere of my room helps me relax and gives me a sense of comfort and stability after a hard day.

Комната также меблирована встроенным гардеробом для хранения одежды и книжным шкафом для учебников, любимых книг и дисков. Мой удобный диван-кровать находится слева от окна. Мне нравится сидеть в нем, пить горячий чай и читать интересную книгу или слушать музыку. На потолке висит бежевая люстра, но я пользуюсь ей нечасто. Я предпочитаю лампу на столе и торшер возле кровати.

Атмосфера в моей комнате помогает мне расслабиться и дает мне ощущение комфорта и стабильности после нелегкого дня.

На потолке небольшая яркая люстра с тремя плафонами.

В комнате современная мебель светлых тонов. Справа от двери длинный компьютерный стол и стул. На столе компьютер, мои учебники, школьные тетради. Справа от двери высокая мебельная стенка. В ней хранится постельное белье, мои вещи.

На полках стоят книги, фотоальбомы, сувениры. Вдоль стены располагается широкая светло-зеленая софа. Пол в моей комнате покрыт ламинатом. На нем лежит небольшой пушистый коврик. Мне нравится на нем иногда посидеть и полистать журналы. Моя комната светлая и уютная. Мне нравиться в ней и отдыхать, и учить уроки, и проводить свободное время с подружками.

Our living-room

I want to tell you about my favorite room in our flat. That is our living-room. It’s large and light. There is a big window in it. There is not much furniture in our living-room. We have no armchairs, no wall-unit in the living-room because they take too much space. And there are no drapes on the window, only net curtain and jalousie.

I like our cream-colored wallpaper. On the left there is a sofa with the small bright cushions. On the right there is a tea-table. We usually have tea there on weekend while talking or watching TV. By the way, we have the big TV-set in front of the sofa and modern stereo-system in the corner. My father likes to listen to soft relaxing music after work.

There’s a long wooden bookshelf with many interesting classic and modern books on it. We have a big painting with a nice summer landscape above the sofa and some gig interesting photos of our family on the other walls. There is a thick warm carpet on the floor and a beautiful cut-glass chandelier on the ceiling. So that the living-room don’t look empty and not cosy there are two funny big toy dogs and several pots with beautiful green flowers. My mother likes them very much, so do I.

Our living-room is the place for rest and communication. It’s specious and comfortable. We all enjoy spending time there.

Над диваном висит красивая картина с летним пейзажем, а на других стенах – интересные фотографии нашей семьи. На полу толстый мягкий ковер, а на потолке красивая хрустальная люстра. Чтоб гостиная не выглядела пустой и неуютной, там есть два забавных игрушечных пса и несколько горшков с красивыми зелеными цветами. Маме они очень нравятся, и мне тоже.
